Cupid Comes to Camp Waterlogg - Part 1
   
Ranger Lorie gets the camp ready for the Valentine’s Day Dance, a fund raising event.  The barn must be cleaned up with the help of the entire staff.  A new yoga instructor Suma tries to find Ranger Lorie for a job interview.  The kids, Stinky & Squeaky have fun helping Sargent Lefty how to square dance with one arm.  The show included Joe Bevilacqua’s stand-up comedy from Caroline’s on Broadway. On tour in Vegas, Joe debates working at the casino with his agent Don. Suma finally finds Olive in the art studio and has to deal with all the kid’s visiting Camp Waterlogg for the Valentine’s Day Dance. Sargent Lefty find’s Olive too late to ask her to the dance. Tune in next time for the conclusion of “Cupid Comes to Camp Waterlogg.”

Cupid Comes to Camp Waterlogg - Part 2

The Valentine Dance is about to begin. Little Orphan Andy is tied up in Abner Bibberman’s tool shed. The visiting Yoga instructor is trying to get to her job interview with Ranger Lorie. The art instructor Olive Pitt’s is trying to get the kids to draw the yogi poses they just learned.  The visiting homeland security officer Ron Drysdale and Sargent Lefty fight for Olive’s affections at the Valentine’s Day dance. Yoga instructor Regan and Ron Drysdale have a great food conversation too. At the of the dance Ranger Lorie deals with all the party goers without Joe? At midnight the big “kiss off” starts and a kiss gets passed around the room.

Camp Waterlogg is dealing with all the homeland security issues.  Ron Drysdale is visiting the camp to make sure it is secure. Ellis is upset that the boats might be crashed into the land. But Sqweeky doesn’t think the canoes could hurt anyone really. Ellis is hiding in the chicken run feeling better around the hens. Ron and Olive have a romantic moment - what will happen?

“Camp Waterlogg Bon Appetite”


Chef Ron left the camp to cook for itself. Olive makes grilled avocadoes and eggs for Ellis and the kids Lkie and Andy come in a eat it all. Olive can’t take the pressure and gives up early. Ranger Lorie has to interview replacement cooks.  Woody the hydroponic gardener thinks cooking veggies is murder.  Stephen the security guard doesn’t understand the question. Elise only cooks meat.  The Baby of the Woods finds Ranger Joe hiding in Buster’s Bath House playing 78 records but comes out to cook great meals for the camp.

Episode #5
“The Camp Waterlogg Offensive”

Sargent Left makes tea for Lkie. Ron gives notice to Homeland Security so he can become the camps cook. Adam Maxwell from Homeland Security comes looking for Ron to find out why he gave quit his job. The squirrels start attacking by throwing acorns at the campers and Ranger Lorie and Adam get stuck in the carport and have to hide under the cars. Ranger Joe is having a bath when the Baby of the Woods encourages him to keep help by cooking and helping Lorie chop wood. Sargent Lefty tells the chickens how to lay eggs but don’t listen and start attack him too. With cooked rice in the pot, the staff hid from the animals and Ranger Joe lets Lorie know that he will not be available to cook when he is out of town.  Why is Adam looking for Ron? Dan Rathernot reports on the animal attack.

“The Animals Are Revolting”


Ranger Lorie tries to get Chef Ron and Adam Maxwell (Homeland Security Officer) to be friends so Ron can get back to cooking. All the wild animals have the campers trapped indoors. Lorie and Adam look for a pest control person in the phone book. Sgt. Lefty and Ellis try to leave the cabin surrounded by animals attacking. Olive gets pecked on the head by a woodpecker and has to lie down. When she awakes she thinks that she is Sgt. Left. Outside Mrs. Twilliger arms the animals with protest signs and chants. A limo pulls up and drops off a new cook and he says: “Ask Dimitri”.

Episode #7
 “Ask Dimitri”


On this weeks show, Rick Overton plays Dimitri, a Russian mobster visiting the fictional camp. There is also a parody of the B-52s song "Rock Lobster," installments of "The Adventures of Teaman" and "Willoughby and the Professor" and more. Olive Pitts thinks that she is Sgt. Lefty after being tapped on the head by a woodpecker. The animals are still protesting while the new chef that Dimitri supplied, Vlad takes over the kitchen. Ranger Lorie tries to read his shopping list.  Ellis and Sgt Lefty drive to Poughkeepsie so Ellis can see his psychologist. Another black limo pulls up and Olive gets in with Mrs. Terwilliger and Adam Maxwell to hear a message from Dimitri. By the side of the road Dimitir tells them to bribe the animals to make things better “bribe is natural.” Ellis suggests that Sgt. Left dress as a woman to shock Olive back to herself but he ain’t going there. When Ranger Lorie brings back the groceries for Vlad everyone feed them to the animals to bribe them happy as prescribed by Dimitri. Sgt. Lefty has a meal with Olive as her to shake her out of her new personality. The shock of eating meat snaps Olive back to herself and it works! Ron the chef calls from his cooking conference and Ranger Lorie gets straightened out and is glad he is coming back to the camp. She lets him know that Adam Maxwell wants’ his money to the dismay of Chef Ron.

Comedian-actor-writer Rick Overton will make a guest appearance on "Camp Waterlogg-A-Go-Go!"  "What an honor to have Rick on our radio show this week. Listeners are in for something special," says Comedy-O-Rama creator/performer Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev.).


Rick Overton and Joe Bev. first met while performing the New Jersey college circuit in 1979 and shared the bill at New York's Improvisation in the early 1980s. Overton has been seen in many movies and TV shows, including "Seinfeld," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Mrs. Doubtfire.' He won an Emmy for writing "The Dennis Miller Show."

“Abbott and Costello Meet Ranger Joe, Part 2”


"Hey, Aaaaaabott!!" The Comedy-O-Rama Hour will present the second of two tributes to the legendary comedy team Abbott & Costello, featuring special guest star Bob Greenberg. The hour will also feature Joe Bev as Jimmy Durante, Laurel & Hardy, and James Finlayson. Lorie Kellogg is heard as Gracie Allen, among other characters. 

The improvisational radio theater program is written by husband and wife Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) and Lorie Kellogg and produced and directed by Bevilacqua. The couple voice 80% of the characters on the show each week

During the comedy hour, Ranger Joe goes back in time to 1938 and meets Abbott & Costello--played by Bevilacqua and Greenberg, respectively, in sketches performed and recorded before a live audience. The hour will also feature Joe Bev as Jimmy Durante, Laurel & Hardy, and James Finlayson.

“Yogi Bear-A-Go-GO!”

The show will feature two dream scenes in which Ranger Joe (played by Joe Bev) and Lkie (played by Lorie Kellogg) each talk to Yogi Bear.

"I thought it would be fun to improvise against these recordings Daws made so many years ago," explains Bev, who was a protégé of Daws Butler and can do most of Butler's characters.

Mr. Jinks, Huckleberry Hound, Wally Gator and Super Snooper are also heard during the hour, performed by Joe Bev. The late Greg Burson voiced Yogi Bear after Daws Butler died in 1988. Dan Aykroyd voiced Yogi Bear in the movie. This Saturday's show will also feature the first new Our Miss Brooks story since 1959, with Lorie Kellogg taking over the Eve Arden role and Joe Bev as Gale Gordon's Mr. Conklin.

“To Julie Newmar with Love, Ellis.”


Actress Julie Newmar makes a guest appearance on this Saturday's edition of The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, Joe Bev's "wacky" weekly radio program.

On the show, Julie Newmar helps Ellis the Boatkeeper (Played by Joe Bev) pick out flowers for his wedding to Elise (played by Lorie Kellogg).

"We love to work our celebrity guest stars into the plots of our show so that we are doing more than just an interview. It's more fun for everyone!" proclaims Joe Bev (Joe Bevilacqua), who writes, produces, directs and performs nearly all the characters' voices on the weekly show, along with his wife and creative partner Lorie Kellogg.

This week's hour also features three Pedro Pablo Sacristan stories: "Batbird," "Tubby the Potbellied Cat," and "The Flying Contest", and part two of the first new "Our Miss Brooks" story since 1959. As an eleventh generation American and a Mayflower descendant, Julie Newmar has beauty, brains and a charming sense of humor. Born Julia Chalene Newmeyer in Los Angeles, her father, Donald, was an engineering professor, head of the Phys Ed. Department, and head football coach at LACC.  "Silk Stockings" was her first role on Broadway at 19. Then the very "Stupefyin’ Jones" in "Li’l Abner." She won a Tony for her first speaking role in the hit comedy "Marriage-Go-Round" (Claudette Colbert and Charles Boyer).  She was one of the brides in the classic MGM musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers."

The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, Joe Bevilacqua's crazy weekly radio theater comedy show will present a 3-part "The Wedding of Ellis & Elise" trilogy storyline that culminates with comedienne "The Love Goddess" Judy Tenuta guest starring.

Bev and Kellogg Skyped two scenes with Judy Tentua, one in which she gives love advice to Ellis and Elise, and the other in which Tentua sings and plays accordion at their wedding.

"The Love Goddess" performs wedding ceremony and plays accordion on part 3 of Joe Bev's online improvisational radio theater hour!

In the episode of the online improvisational radio theater hour, Tenuta gives relationship advice to characters Ellis and Elise (voiced by Bev and Kellogg) and plays accordion and sings at their Pastafarian Pirate wedding and then marries them under her own religion Judyism.

The Comedy-O-Rama Hour is the highest rated show on Cult Radio-A-Go-Go! Joe Bev attributes the positive response to his radio show as a sign today's audiences are craving radio theater.

"We are creating a fully realized storyline every week, with continuing characters, sound effects, music, full production values... plus we're funny!" says Bev, who performs nearly half the characters on the show, including Ellis the Boatkeeper, Sgt. Lefty, Adam Maxwell, Lil Orphan Andy, and others.

"Camp Waterlogg-A-Go-Go: Better Late Than Never Father's Day Special" (Noel Blanc)


Post Father's Day Radio Special Features Sons of "Flinstones" Voices Paying Tribute to Their Dads, with Noel Blanc & Mel Blanc, Chas Butler & Daws Butler, Alan Reed Jr. and Alan Reed.

"Hey, what's up,doc?" Noel Blanc, the son of cartoon voice legend Mel Blanc. will be heard saying when he guest stars on this Saturday's edition of The Comedy-O-Rama Hour, Joe Bev's wacky weekly radio extravaganza.

On the show, which mixes scripted radio theater, improvisation and real life moments, two Camp Waterlogg kids Skype Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester and Tweety, all voiced by Noel Blanc.

Joe Bev wrote Mel Blanc in 1972 and they became friends, with Blanc critiquing Bev's cassette recorded voices in nine page hand written notes on Bugs Bunny stationary, and several west coast visits in which Bev would sit in on recording sessions of "The Jetsons".

"My mentor Daws Butler was there as Elroy Jetson, Penny Singleton as Jane, Janet Waldo as Judy, Don Messick as Astro. I sat in the recording booth in between Mel Blanc (as Mr. Spacey) and Howard Morris (as The Nervous School Bus Driver). I learned from the masters. Mel was the greatest voice actor who ever lived. We all try live up to the standard he set in the 1930s," says Bev.

Also on the radio show, which is billed as a "Better Late Than Never Father's Day Special":
Alan Reed Jr. reads from his father's autobiography Yabba Dabba Doo! The Alan Reed Story.

Daws Butler as Mr. Jinks and Daws's son Chas Butler as a 7-year old, in "A Baby Setter Sitter: written by Daws Butler, from a never-before-heard 1959 recording. 

"The Honeymoon of Ellis & Elise" finds the Camp Waterlogg couple (voiced by Bev. & Kellogg) afloat on a cruise ship during a Rastafarian Pastifarian Pirate attack. Cap'n Crunch (Joe Bev) reads "Lola the Whale" and Ranger Lorie (Kellogg) reads "A Warm Whale," two radio cartoons written by Pedro Pablo Sacristan.
